Kakurega means 'hideout' in Japanese. This project is a cozy addition, in which the homeowners were looking to create a workspace / sitting room and a new separate bathing room. This addition brings the living spaces closer to the garden, where birds flit and squirrels are doing acrobatics. Bright and warm, these rooms allow the viewing of the passing seasons and bring tranquility into daily life. It is modest in footprint, but generous in experience.
